Tell me more about the series

1

The Sk8 Florida CompeteUSA Series connects clubs across the state through a unified competition circuit designed for growth and fair play. Designed for Snowplow Sam to pre-preliminary, the series provides a supportive competition environment where athletes can build confidence on the ice while connecting with the broader Florida figure skating community.

2

Events are hosted by participating Florida clubs, allowing skaters to earn points throughout the season. The series culminates in a final standing based on participation and performance across all connected events. This format encourages consistent practice and offers skaters the opportunity to experience different host club environments while staying within a familiar competitive framework.

To qualify for Series standings:
Skaters must compete in at least three (3) different approved Series competitions. Please note that the Elements, Compulsory, Basic with Music, and Freeskate with Music events are required for the final points tabulation.

5

The Basic Programs with Music, Aspire with Music, and the Compulsory/Elements events in each of the series competitions will be eligible for accumulating points. Your 3 highest points will be totaled for placement.

The system for scoring points for the final placement will be as follows:
Each event will have a maximum of 6 skaters
1st Place 6 points
2nd Place 5 points
3rd Place 4 points
4th Place 3 points
5th Place 2 points
6th Place 1 point
If an event has fewer than 6 skaters, the points will be adjusted. i.e., For a group of 3 skaters, the 1st place would receive 3 points, the 2nd place would be 2 points, and the 3rd place would be 1 point.
