What is the SK8 Florida CompeteUSA series?
The Sk8 Florida CompeteUSA Series connects clubs across the state through a unified competition circuit designed for growth and fair play. The series provides a supportive competition environment where athletes can build confidence on the ice while connecting with the broader Florida figure skating community. (Includes Snowplow Sam, Basic 1-6, Aspire 1-4)

How does it work?
Skaters will earn series standings by competing at designated competitions throughout the season. The series culminates in a final standing based on participation and performance across all connected events. This format encourages consistent practice and offers skaters the opportunity to experience different host club environments while staying within a familiar competitive framework.

How do I participate?
1. To enter into Series Standings, skaters must register for the series before competing in their first designated Series event.
(Series Registration will open in December 1, 2026 for 2027 Series. Please check back for sign up!)
2. Skaters will need to register for each competition they participate through the competition’s sign-up.

What is the participation rules?
- Register in the series before skater’s first series competition
- Compete in at least three (3) different approved Series competitions. Please note that both Elements / Compulsory and Free Skate / Program with Music need to be competed at each competition.
- Free skate (program with music) event scores will be used for the final points tabulation.
- Skaters are allowed to move up levels and their standing will be at the highest level competed. Scores from lower level will be carried with the skaters. (If a skater earned score A at Basic 1, score B and score C at Basic 2, score A, B and C will be totaled to give the skater Series score for the standing. The skater’s series standing will be at Basic 2.)
- Skater must be a member of FIC member club.

SK8 FLORIDA CompeteUSA Series Awards Ceremony
Skaters scores will be tracked throughout the season for SK8 FLORIDA Series Standing on FIC website. Top (4) skaters in each levels will be invited to the series awards ceremony.
Series Awards ceremony on ice will take place after the last series competition (FIC State Championships) concludes at the Community First Igloo Ice Rink, Jacksonville, FL in October.
