The People behind the scene

Meet our team

A collective of innovative minds and spirited individuals, committed to figure skating community.

Maureen Dalton

President

Maureen has been deeply involved in figure skating governance for decades, serving on councils and boards in Michigan before moving to Florida in 2017. She has chaired major U.S. Figure Skating events, helped create and expand Basic Skills series across the country, and served in multiple national leadership roles. Maureen is a National Accountant with U.S. Figure Skating and has co-chaired several key competitions and festivals in Florida.

Lisa Geltz-Perri

Vice President

Lisa Geltz-Perri is a U.S. Figure Skating Accredited Master Coach with more than three decades of coaching experience across multiple disciplines and levels. She has competed and coached at regional and sectional levels, hosted seminars in several states, and served on the Professional Skaters Association’s Foundations of Coaching Course faculty and as a mentor in their Accelerated Coaching Partnership Program. Lisa also volunteers as a ratings examiner with U.S. Figure Skating and has helped run major events including South Atlantic Regionals, the first National Excel Festival, and the 2023 Eastern Sectional Championships.

Cathy Brust

Treasurer

Cathy Brust grew up in the rink, beginning her figure skating journey at age four in Houston, Texas, and later building a coaching career focused on skaters of all ages, especially young children. Her coaching philosophy centers on recognizing each child’s unique learning style and empowering skaters to achieve personal goals and find joy on the ice. After a 20+ year break to raise her family, she returned to the sport as an official, helping skaters view feedback as ‘courage in motion’ and supporting a positive, family-like skating community.

Scott Cudmore

Strategic Planning Chair

Scott Cudmore has held leadership roles in rinks across the country since 1988, including General Manager, Skating Director, and Head Skating Professional. He has chaired multiple qualifying events, developed the Southern Grand Prix Basic Skills Series, and serves as a board member of the U.S. Ice Rinks Association. Scott is a National Technical Specialist in Singles and Pairs with extensive PSA ratings, and he has officiated and coached at every level from regional to international competitions, as well as designing and teaching the Physical Science of Ice Skating course at East Carolina University.
